Backdrops for Romeo & Juliet Backdrops

This drama is one of the great plays by William Shakespeare. The famous story of the "star-crossed" young lovers, Romeo and Juliet. The themes running through the play address the issues of the consequences of immature blind passion, hatred and prejudice. Romeo Montague and Juliet Capulet are young teenagers who fall deeply in love after one meeting but their families are bitter enemies. Regardless of the feud between their families they marry in secret. After Romeo accidentally kills Juliet’s cousin Tybalt after Tybalt has killed Romeo’s best friend Mercutio, Romeo is banished from Verona. In despair, Juliet along with the Friar, devise a plan to foul her family into thinking she has died, so she can sneak away with Romeo. The plan fails when the Friar’s note to Romeo explaining the plan does not reach him. Romeo returns, thinking Juliet has died, drinks poison, and dies beside her body. Juliet awakens from her false slumber, finding Romeo dead, where upon she takes his dagger and kills herself.
